Investigating the inside of a pumpkin

Class 1 have had great fun this week finding out what is inside a pumpkin.

The children noticed that the pumpkin contained seeds and lots of stringy flesh. The children found lots of really good words to describe what it was like such as slippy, squidgy, gooey, wet.

The children said, ‘the stringy bits are like worms and spaghetti!’

The children used lots of different tools, tweezers, tongs, spoons and scoops to get the seeds out.
